I am here in Kenya, but I do not have time for a long entry because of the electricity issue. It is truly a different world here, and I only hope that when I have the time, I will be able to communicate some of what I've seen here. Yesterday we visited the slum of Kibera, where 1 million people live in 1 square mile. We went to an orphanage where over 70 children live in a space 500 square feet in complete and utter squalor. If you have ever seen a Save the Children commercial, you have seen these children. It is a complete contrast to Hekima Place, where the children are clean and fed and loved.

I have always been grateful for what I have, but there is now a new level of gratitude.
